On SATURDAY 26th JUNE a group of Maplewood House staff,friends and parents will climb Ben Nevis to raise funds for an outdoor activity area for Maplewood accessible for all abilities and promoting interactive play.
Examples of the kinds of equipment which will be part of the activity area include musical equipment, a sandpit, sensory and motor skill equipment, mirrors and much, much more.
Tailored and accessible activity equipment is important to promote the well-being and development of disabled children while having fun. It also helps the staff to do the excellent work they do in supporting families with disabled children.
Friends of Maplewood would welcome sponsorship from individuals and companies for the Ben Nevis event and/or sponsors for individual pieces of equipment.
